Is there a formula for happiness?  Is there one foolproof method to accomplish whatever we want in life?  Well, actually, there just may be.  as well as it’s as simple, or as complicated, as getting happy.  Simple, since all of us have the power to do it.  Complicated, since our conditioning tells us it’s not that easy.

Everything around us is energy, including our thoughts.  Law of Attraction teaches us that like attracts like.  If we focus our thoughts on things that make us happy, we draw in much more of the same.   however exactly how do we do this in a world that seems to be so full of dissatisfied things?

We do it by making a mindful decision that we want to be happy.  We have the power to select our thoughts – so why not select thoughs that make us feel good?  We can make these mindful options in every single moment – by selecting to focus on what is working in our lives rather than complaining about what isn’t, by selecting books as well as television programs that make us feel great rather than depressed or upset, by selecting to be with people who uplift us rather than drag us down into negativity.

Choosing your thoughts, as well as selecting what to focus on is essential in this process.  We frequently believe of option as something that has to include a “yes” or “no” decision.  When you begin to believe of option as stating “yes” to what you want, rather than “no” to what you don’t want, you will discover your energy shifting. 

Once we focus predominantly on that which makes us feel good, we’ll discover that the world around us changes.  Life flows much more easily.   We draw in people as well as circumstances into our truth that are enjoyable rather than frustrating.   Our lives work.  We get happy.

Today, make a mindful choice:  no matter where I’m going, no matter what I’m doing, no matter who I’m doing it with, I’m going to look for things that make me feel good. 

And if you requirement a bit assist with feeling good, look to your animal companions.  They’re masters at making themselves feel good.  have you ever viewed a feline comply with the sunny areas in the house, or a canine roll around on his back in the freshly mown turf just since it feels sooooo good?

Thanks for your comment, Laurel. like the term bounce-back-ability!

I do believe there’s value in acknowledging as well as feeling “bad” emotions, however only if the person is able to release the unfavorable emotion without wallowing in it. I believe that there is a tipping point where somebody can get stuck in the negativity, which will only result in bringing much more of the exact same into their life.

I so agree with you, Ingrid! We always have the power to select even when it may seem like we don’t. The one caution I always provide myself, though, is to acknowledge as well as really feel my other emotions, enabling them to “tell” me what I requirement to understand as well as then make the option to relocation on toward feeling pleased again.

I believe the risk with the recent interest to happiness is that some people are forcing themselves into a false sense of optimism, ignoring the authentic pain or unhappiness they may feel about a situation. I believe true happiness comes from understanding as well as feeling a broad variety of emotions however being able to rapidly recuperate as well as get back to a pleased center. It’s resilience…bounce-back-ability!

Well said. daily we make a option to let negativity or positivity into our lives – well we can make it a mindful option as well as select to integrate the positive.

We may not always be able to manage outside factors, however we have far much more manage over our inner lives than I believe many people realize. If we are miserable we have to take obligation for that emotion – nobody can force it on you. just so, we can select to be happy.

Wow! fantastic post! It’s so great to have a pointer of this. Our cats truly make me happy, as well as they do remind me to delight in the bit things in life. When I see my grey Oscar curled up in the recliner with all four paws in the air, I have to be pleased as well as laugh! ?
